New Art New Artists is a collaborative project allowing emerging artists and fine arts students to bring their work to a larger audience. Currently, this site features the contributions of Erik Sälgström Peterson, Elizabeth Bancroft Englander, Edo Rosenblith, Chukudinma Chukuma, and Lily Wong. “Summer Creeps” 2009, Erik Sälgström Peterson, Moleskine Cahier sketchbook with pencil.
“On June 18th, 2009 I began to draw in a sketchbook with the intention of producing a body of images from a limited set of tools. Throughout the book I used only a 45/45/90 triangle, a small compass, a mechanical pencil, and six colored pencils. With these tools I produced 44 pages, at which point several of the pencils were used up and others lost, defining the limit of the project.”
